Alvan Journal of Social Sciences (AJSS) is an open access journal. All published articles are freely available online without subscription or access fees. Users may read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full text of articles for lawful scholarly purposes.
Authors retain copyright of their published articles. Articles published in AJSS are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0), which permits use, distribution, and reproduction in any medium, provided the original work is properly cited.
AJSS operates a double-anonymous peer review process. Manuscripts are first screened by the editorial office for scope, formatting, originality, and ethical compliance before being sent to qualified reviewers.
All submitted manuscripts are screened using Turnitin similarity detection software prior to peer review and editorial consideration.
AJSS charges an Article Processing Charge after acceptance. The current publication fee is displayed on the journal website. AJSS does not charge submission fees or other hidden author fees.
AJSS permits authors to deposit the published version of their articles in institutional repositories, subject repositories, personal websites, and academic networking platforms, provided that the original AJSS publication and DOI link are properly cited.
AJSS preserves published articles through Zenodo DOI records, Google-indexed journal pages, journal archive pages, and institutional cloud storage. The journal continues to strengthen its long-term digital preservation strategy.
