Abstract

This paper investigates the relationship between security and economic growth by assessing the effect of internal security stability and government-led peacebuilding programs. The study is informed by the perception that peace and stability are essential for productive and sustainable growth. It uses the security-development nexus theory and a mixed-method approach combining quantitative and qualitative methods. Findings indicate that improvements in internal security stability strengthen investor confidence, support employment generation, and encourage sustainable economic growth, with peacebuilding strategies serving a key mediating function in conflict-affected areas.
