Dr. Charles Chibuzor Nnajieto is a philosopher, sociologist, and educationist. An astute and varied researcher with expertise in the Sociology and Sociology of Education, Charles Nnajieto’s research has helped improve teacher education in Nigeria. His education and experiences in Alvan Ikoku Federal University of Education, Owerri have spanned several directorships, deanship and membership of the College Governing Council. Currently, he is the Director of the TETFund Centre of Excellence in Teacher Education and Research at Alvan Ikoku Federal University of Education, Owerri.

Dr. Nnajieto who hails from Ubah Mbaoma-Emii in Owerri North Local Government area started his education at the famous Shell Camp Primary School, Owerri. From there he attended St. Peter Claver Seminary, Okpala where he took his School Certificate Examinations and then proceeded to the prestigious Pontifical Urban University in Rome. With a Bachelor of Philosophy degree (Summa cum laude), Nnajieto also acquired a Master of Science (M.Sc) Sociology degree from the Imo State University, Owerri in 2004. His seminal Ph.D. in Sociology specialising in Institutional Analysis followed in 2011 from the University of Port Harcourt, Nigeria. He also received a Post-Graduate Diploma in Education from the University of Calabar in 2006. His doctoral research on tourism development and poverty alleviation in Imo State anticipated the boom in the hotel and tourism industry in the Eastern Heartland.

At Alvan Ikoku Federal University of Education, Owerri , Dr. Charles Nnajieto has distinguished himself in teaching, research, and community relations. He has published many journal articles, books and has attended both local and international conferences. He is listed on Google Scholar and ResearchGate. In 2022, he attended a course sponsored by TETFund in research project management at The Centre, a UK-based capacity and skills-based institute to stay abreast of new methods in research project management. In recognition of his core strengths of mentoring and inspiring younger colleagues, Dr. Charles Nnajieto was elected Dean, School of Education in 2019. He was a member of the Alvan Ikoku Federal College of Education, Owerri Governing Council representing the Academic Board between 2021- 2023. He is also a member of the ancient and noble order of Knights of St. John International. He is happily married to Lady Augustina Nnajieto and the marriage is blessed with three lovely children. Dr. Nnajieto radiates assiduity and excellence which are his watchwords.
